HSE Engineer
- Safety Management:
- Develop and implement safety policies and procedures.
- Conduct risk assessments and hazard analyses.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
- Environmental Management:
- Monitor and evaluate the environmental impact of operations.
- Implement waste management and pollution prevention strategies.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
- Regulatory Compliance:
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of HSE regulations.
- Ensure all operations comply with local, national, and international regulations.
- Coordinate regulatory inspections and audits.
- Incident Management:
- Investigate incidents and accidents to determine causes.
- Develop and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Lead emergency response initiatives.
- Training and Awareness:
- Organize and conduct HSE training sessions for employees.
- Promote a culture of safety and environmental awareness.
- Ensure employees are informed about safety practices and legislation.
- Audits and Assessments:
- Conduct internal audits and compliance assessments.
- Identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Prepare detailed reports on audit findings.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Review and improve HSE policies and procedures.
- Implement best practices to enhance safety and environmental performance.
- Stay updated with industry trends and advancements.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Educational Background:
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health, Safety Management, or a related field.
- Certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent are highly desirable.
- Experience:
- Experience in HSE management within the Oil & Gas sector.
- Proven track record of implementing HSE policies and procedures.
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of HSE regulations specific to the Oil & Gas sector.
- Excellent problem-solving and crisis management skills.
- Strong communication and training skills.
- Ability to conduct thorough risk assessments and audits.
Key Tasks and Duties:
- Develop and implement health and safety plans.
- Conduct safety and environmental audits.
- Coordinate with project teams to integrate HSE measures into project planning.
- Manage incident investigations and emergency response.
- Maintain accurate HSE documentation and records.
