HSE Engineer

  1. Safety Management:
    • Develop and implement safety policies and procedures.
    • Conduct risk assessments and hazard analyses.
    • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
  2. Environmental Management:
    • Monitor and evaluate the environmental impact of operations.
    • Implement waste management and pollution prevention strategies.
    • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
  3. Regulatory Compliance:
    • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of HSE regulations.
    • Ensure all operations comply with local, national, and international regulations.
    • Coordinate regulatory inspections and audits.
  4. Incident Management:
    • Investigate incidents and accidents to determine causes.
    • Develop and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
    • Lead emergency response initiatives.
  5. Training and Awareness:
    • Organize and conduct HSE training sessions for employees.
    • Promote a culture of safety and environmental awareness.
    • Ensure employees are informed about safety practices and legislation.
  6. Audits and Assessments:
    • Conduct internal audits and compliance assessments.
    • Identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
    • Prepare detailed reports on audit findings.
  7. Continuous Improvement:
    • Review and improve HSE policies and procedures.
    • Implement best practices to enhance safety and environmental performance.
    • Stay updated with industry trends and advancements.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Educational Background:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health, Safety Management, or a related field.
    • Certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent are highly desirable.
  • Experience:
    • Experience in HSE management within the Oil & Gas sector.
    • Proven track record of implementing HSE policies and procedures.
  • Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of HSE regulations specific to the Oil & Gas sector.
    • Excellent problem-solving and crisis management skills.
    • Strong communication and training skills.
    • Ability to conduct thorough risk assessments and audits.

Key Tasks and Duties:

  • Develop and implement health and safety plans.
  • Conduct safety and environmental audits.
  • Coordinate with project teams to integrate HSE measures into project planning.
  • Manage incident investigations and emergency response.
  • Maintain accurate HSE documentation and records.
