Road Safety Coordinator
- Safety Program Development:
- Develop and implement road safety programs and policies.
- Ensure compliance with local, national, and international road safety regulations.
- Risk Assessment:
- Conduct risk assessments to identify potential road hazards.
- Develop strategies to mitigate identified risks.
- Training and Education:
- Organize and conduct road safety training sessions for drivers and other road users.
- Promote awareness of safe driving practices and road safety regulations.
- Incident Management:
- Investigate road incidents and accidents to determine causes.
- Develop and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Compliance Monitoring:
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with road safety standards.
- Prepare detailed reports on findings and recommend corrective actions.
- Emergency Response:
- Lead emergency response initiatives and drills related to road safety.
- Develop and update emergency response plans for road incidents.
- Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Analyze road safety data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Prepare reports and documentation for regulatory bodies and internal stakeholders.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Educational Background:
- Bachelor’s degree in Transportation, Civil Engineering, Occupational Health, Safety Management, or a related field.
- Certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent are highly desirable.
- Experience:
- Experience in road safety management or a related field.
- Proven track record of implementing road safety programs and policies.
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and standards.
- Excellent problem-solving and crisis management skills.
- Strong communication and training skills.
- Ability to conduct thorough risk assessments and audits.
Key Tasks and Duties:
- Develop and implement road safety plans.
- Conduct safety audits and inspections.
- Coordinate with local authorities and stakeholders to improve road safety.
- Manage incident investigations and emergency response.
- Maintain accurate road safety documentation and records.
